CHANGE COMMUNICATION & READINESS LEAD - TEMPORARY

Position Description

This position is responsible, in partnership with the Organizational Change Management Practice, to develop and execute a structured approach to change management.  Support UCare employees, members and providers through various transformation programs, as well as to support change management maturity development at an organizational level.

Responsible to focus on the people side of change, including changes and associated impacts to business processes, systems and technology, organization structure, culture and behavior. Design, socialize and execute comprehensive change management plans, including impact assessments by stakeholder group, communication, training, coaching, structure, technology, skills and resources. These will be used to maximize employee adoption and usage while minimizing resistance.

This important work will result in improved operational effectiveness, organization processes, structures, and accountabilities, with the ultimate goal of optimizing return on investment. It is essential to work successfully with resources from all functional areas of UCare to achieve impactful results in support of the business and/or functions goals and objectives.

·Build relationships at all levels of the organization to facilitate collaboration across business departments and functions to deliver desired program outcomes, while maintaining the integrity of UCare's processes and technology.

·Partner with Program Teams and business leaders to develop and execute customized change management plans.

·Conduct stakeholder analysis, change impact assessments, organizational and business readiness assessments, evaluate and present findings with actions plan in a logical and easy-to-understand sponsorship roadmap format.

·Develop and execute a communication plan that includes key messages to all impacted audiences.

·Create coaching plan to engage and equip managers and people leaders to lead the change with their own teams.

·Create resistance management plan that provides a strategy to both proactively and reactively address resistance.

·Define training needs and develop and execute cross functional training plans

·Develop training curriculum and content as needed (small scale only; instructional design specialist will be hired for large scale).

·Collaborate with program and project management to integrate change management activities into the overall project plan to support a successful implementation.

·Lead multiple workstreams concurrently with a focus on deadlines, details and documentation.

·Responsible to assist in the design, consensus-building and implementation of end state roles, responsibilities and effective governance to manage implemented improvements.

·Other projects and duties as assigned.

Education

Bachelor degree or equivalent experience is required.  Prosci Certification.

Required Experience

Seven years' experience in executing large-scale initiatives, including but not limited to organizational change, business process management, systems implementations/conversions, and operational excellence.  Five years of business/organizational transformation and change management work.  Demonstrated experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools.   Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle. Strong strategic communications, visioning and mature influencing skills. Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences.  Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others.  Able to work effectively at all levels in an organization.

Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal.  Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations.  Organized with a natural inclination for planning strategy and tactics.  Problem solving and root cause identification skills.  Advanced computer skills and proficiency in MS Project, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. 

Preferred Experience

Five years program management experience.  Healthcare insurance industry experience.  Experience in large, multi-year technology solution implementations.
