    JOB COACHES - Several temporary summer worker Job Coach positions available.

    DATES & SUMMER HOURS:
    June 17 - July 19, up to 3.5 hours per day - Monday thru Friday. (Student contact days only -(no school week of July 4) Assignments will be made based on student needs.

    SITES:  Multiple Non-District Work Sites

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:  Assist high school special needs students (at their school or in the community) in a variety of work sites. Students will have a variety of ability levels. Exploration of work sites. Skills training at work sites in a variety of areas such as landscape, housekeeping, food service, custodial, office and warehouse. Perform other duties as assigned.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  High School Diploma or equivalent. Ability to work with disabled students under the direction of work experience handicapped coordinators. Good communication and organizational skills. Ability / desire to work cooperatively with department and district staff. Must have reliable transportation. Ability to maintain regular attendance, which includes completing an assigned day. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds. Ability to perform position responsibilities including physical factors, work devices and materials handling, data functions, and people functions.

    RATE OF PAY:  New Hires $12.02/hr.;  Current Job Coaches accepting employment in their same category shall be paid at their school year ending hourly rate on the salary schedule through their summer employment, including seniority and academic credits.  Paras accepting employment in a different category shall be paid that category’s school year ending hourly rate on the salary schedule at the relevant step including seniority and academic credits.
