A role with Target Brand & Category Marketingis an opportunity to create clear and compelling strategies and tactics that engage guests at every touchpoint. You will apply your detailed understanding of guest attitudes and behaviors to build out industry-leading plans that achieve Target's business objectives. You'll drive brand equity and loyalty to increase Target's share of shopping trips. Your deep and broad Marketing expertise will support your assigned categories and campaigns to maximize relevance and competitive advantage. Your ability to bring teams together to create holistic and effective marketing plans across many disciplines will enable us to meet the guest where they are. You will shape strategic narratives to gain buy-in from marketing leaders, external and enterprise partners alike. Here, you will be challenged to deliver the compelling, seamless and innovative work that inspires guests to choose Target.

As a Sr Marketing Manager, Brand& Category Marketing,Apparel& Accessories and Beauty, you will design and implement marketing strategies and plans for your business areas, and measure the effectiveness of each, aiming to deliver exceptional results for the guest and for Target.

Key responsibilities include: 

Translate business goals, market and guest insights into actionable and measurable marketing strategies.

Lead the design and execution of long-range, annual and reactionary multichannel marketing plans across multichannel media mix, including but not limited to, social, digital, search, display, direct mail, events and PR

Strategically guides internal and agency creative and media teams to ensure content aligns with brand and category strategy, and Target brand voice

Navigate a complex matrix of partners (internal and external) and influence when necessary to gain alignment towards seamless implementation of marketing plans

Partner with leaders in merchandising to deliver alignment of merchandising business priorities with marketing strategy

Responsible for efficient management of marketing budget

Imperative Skills and Experience:

B.A. or B.S. degree required, preferably in Marketing, Communications or Advertising8+ years of related work experience; agency or marketing experience preferredProven track record of authoring successful marketing strategy and plans for industry-leading brandsDeep experience with complex matrix of partnersStrong business acumen and strategic thinking skills, and the ability to analyze, interpret and synthesize data into a compelling storyProactive curiocity for the business, the market, evolving cultural landscape and macro consumer behavior. Expertise in industry tracking and measurement tools (NPD, IRI, etc)Tenacity and courage inspire teams to make the work better, learn from results and be the voice of the guest and businessAbility to engage partners across the organization at the right times to collaboratively solve problems, while keeping them informed, engaged and evolved along the wayStrong creative and media acumen and ability to write a compelling strategy brief and assess work against a defined strategy

MBAPast experience in brand management for industry-leading, breakthrough brandsDeep expertise in key media channels, such as social, influencers and digital
