ELECTRICAL DESIGN ENGINEER SENIOR

Due to tremendous growth, Johnson Outdoors Marine Electronics Inc. has a position open on our Engineering Team. Johnson Outdoors Marine Electronics is a world class leader and innovator in fishing products. We are the home of Minn Kota Electric Trolling Motors, Cannon Downriggers, Talon Shallow Water Anchors, Minn Kota Marine Accessories and Humminbird Fish Finders. This position is located in our Mankato, MN facility.

We are seeking:

An independent, creative person responsible for new product design and existing product maintenance.

Education: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (BSEE), electronics engineering (BSET) or equivalent.

Experience: Typically requires a minimum of 5 years' experience in electrical design engineering within consumer product design including:

• Schematic capture and PCB layout tools, applying proper SI and PDN principles

• Integration of wireless communications

(such as Wi-Fi or Bluetooth) into products

• Design of switching power supplies

• Low voltage dc motors and their control

• Writing software for 8 to 32 bit microcontrollers in C

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Writing product specifications, test procedures, and creating/modifying technical documentation of electrical products such as drawings and Engineering Change Orders (ECO's)

• Building, testing and debugging prototypes, both hardware and software using common electrical test equipment and tools

• Familiar with new product development processes including financial modeling and timeline management

• Exposure to product compliance requirements such as EMC and Safety, and execution of mitigation strategies
