Job Description:
Job Summary:
Applies paint, wallpaper, or textures to maintain the appearance of all existing walls, doors, ceilings, and other structures and new construction. Performs drywall repairs, taping and sanding.
Job Duties:
- Completes preparations by gathering all tools and determining appropriate materials. Sets-up and secures the work area.
- Prepares surface (i.e.: filling holes, cracks, sanding, cleaning, taping, or making minor sheet rock repairs).
- Applies appropriate products according to manufacturers' specifications.
- Cleans area and re-opens. Transports all materials to shop for cleaning and storage.
Requirements:
- Five years commercial painting and taping experience.
- Experience with commercial vinyl wallpapering.
- Experience with sheet rock repairs of existing surfaces and taping of newly installed sheetrock.
- Valid driver's license may be required with a good driving record.
- Able to work on ladders or lifts at heights of 20 feet up to 50 feet above grade.
- On feet or standing 95% of time.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Outdoor work 20%, indoor work 80%.
- Exposure to odors.
- Performs duties on heights of up to 20 feet using both ladders and lifts. May require training, certification or licensing in job specific systems or equipment.
