Areas of Responsibility:

Food & Beverage, Hotel and Group Sales


Job Summary:

Responsible for developing and implementing strategies to realize the Enterprise's vision and goals related to established revenue and profit performance, guest service and team member engagement. Oversees the operations of the Hospitality division, including; Hotel, F&B and Group Sales. Leads these departments to consistently deliver distinctive and memorable guest service and exceptional operational standards, realizing the objectives of the Enterprise. Embraces the enterprise's vision and service culture promoting unity and teamwork amongst all departments, and cultivates a supportive and productive relationship with internal and external partners.


Budget/Asset Responsibilities:

Responsible for developing and maintaining the Food & Beverage, Hotel and Group Sales operating and capital budgets, business plans and controls cost. Ensures that all assets assigned to Food and Beverage, Hotel and Group Sales are well-maintained.


Job Duties:

  1. Achieve financial/business plan goals and expectations as established in the annual business plan for all areas of responsibility, and organize/implement strategic and tactical plans.
  2. Provides innovative/creative thinking and strategies to effectively differentiate the property. Develops sales plans and promotional programs in cooperation with Marketing and other departments to accomplish profit and review goals.
  3. Lead, direct and manage the daily operations of the Hospitality division to include Hotel, Food and Beverage, and Group Sales to promote and achieve efficiency and effectiveness, and to obtain optimum usage of equipment, facilities and staff. Develops and maintains open lines of communication.
  4. Ensure compliance of all departments within Hospitality with all policies and procedures duly adopted by the Board of Directors and the SMSC Gaming Commission.
  5. Develop new concepts, positioning Food and Beverage offerings at property for growth.
  6. Develop and manage budgets and revenue forecasts for the Hotel, F&B and Group Sales departments. Develop and implement controls for expense management. Ensure staff is utilizing labor management tools to schedule and control labor costs.
  7. Interview, select, hire and promote team members. This includes training, developing, performance management, discipline, plans and actions for the retention of team members, and terminations of employment.

Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree in business administration, hospitality or hotel administration or related field.
  2. Ten years of full-service hotel/hospitality or restaurant management (in a large F&B operation) experience, including five years of progressive leadership/management experience.
  3. Successful leader experienced in running multiple departments. Experience running Hotel, Group Sales and F&B departments required.
  4. Experience in high volume, full service operations with a large number of employees.
  5. Proficiency in word-processing, spreadsheets, presentation, and electronic mail software
  6. Valid driver's license may be required with good driving record.
