Position Responsibilities

St. Catherine University invites applications for the College for Women section Baccalaureate Program Director in the Department of Nursing, a full-time, tenure-track, ranked faculty position, beginning in August 2019. Rank and salary are commensurate with education and experience.

Responsibilities:
The Program Director for the College for Women Section of the Baccalaureate Nursing Program is accountable for student learning and curriculum integrity in the program. Recruiting, mentoring, and faculty development are important components of this position and are necessary for program excellence. The program director engages in activities that promote positive relationships and outcomes with students, faculty, administrators, and professional colleagues, clinical and community agencies, alumnae/i, and other external groups. The program director facilitates student learning by: ensuring that the program of study responds to students' learning needs, consulting with students about specific academic concerns, and referring students with academic concerns to appropriate University services, resources, and offices.

Position Qualifications

Qualifications:
Applicants must possess a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Nursing. If only a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is held, applicants must also possess a Master's degree in a related field. A Doctoral Degree in Nursing ( DNP , PhD, DNS ) or related field is preferred. Teaching experience (clinical and/or classroom instruction) in a baccalaureate nursing program and eligibility for RN licensure in the State of Minnesota are required to apply for the position. Minnesota RN licensure must be obtained prior to starting the position. Commitment to collaborative engagement of faculty, administrators, staff, and students, to promote excellence in the program of study and within the Department of Nursing and the university, is required. Administrative experience in an academic setting is preferred.
