Child Support Officer
Performs a variety of complex professional and paralegal tasks related to the determination of paternity and establishment and enforcement of child support obligations. Conducts interviews with non-custodial parents and custodial parents to negotiate payment provisions; prepares and presents collections, claims and represents the County in expedited process hearings on child support cases.
MQs: Requires equivalency of an associate's degree and two years related experience in child support, determining eligibility for public assistance programs, collections or case aide in a social services agency, or paralegal/legal assistant in family law. Preference given for computer aptitude, investigative interviewing, and preparing cases for administrative/appeal hearings. A valid driver's license is required.
Hiring Range: $25.13 - $31.41 per hour - DOQ.
