3rd shift hours: 8:00pm-6:30am M-TH
Pay: $28-$37/hr

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

• Set up and machine work of moderate complexity and difficulty. 
  
• Inspect work using gauging and inspection devices to verify conformance to specifications. Meet expectations for productivity and quality and strives for continuous improvement. May train others, troubleshoot, or work with support groups as needed.  
• Participates in continuous improvement practices such as 5S, Kaizen events, value stream mapping or other improvement projects or teams.  
• Work to achieve work center guideline certification. Follows guidelines established for work scheduling and understands delivery objectives. 
• Communicates pertinent information well with others and is a team player.  
• Good work ethic and maintains good attendance.  
• Report any machine or process problems or variances to foreman.  
• Able to perform multiple tasks running several machines simultaneously.  Perform various other duties as assigned by foreman/manager. 
  

Requirements:

•  2 year machine trades grad  Experience with shop floor programming of CNC equipment (this is not the typical CAM programming that many are familiar with) Good math skills  
• Good understanding of (GDT) Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing. Prior experience machining tool steels would be a plus  
• Experienced with various inspection devices and methods If the applicant has previous machining experience, we would be particularly interested in those having experience operating some of the following equipment:  Manual and CNC vertical mills  Manual and CNC lathes  Surface grinding  OD cylindrical grinding, Wire and sinker EDM 
• We would also be interested in a 2 year machine trades graduate without experience providing they were at the top 20% of their class. 

Tool Requirements: These tools should be property of the operator within six months of full time employment:  Kennedy Box or equivalent- 6 inch scale, 0-2 outside micrometers, adjustable wrench, dead blow hammer, ball peen hammer, calculator, hex wrench set. These are the requirements for a Grade 30 machinist.
