Distribution System Operator Assistant
Dakota Electric Association (DEA), a member-owned, nonprofit electric utility serving over 101,000 members just south of the Twin Cities, is looking for the right person to join our team of Distribution System Operators (DSO). A DSO starts at DEA as a DSO Assistant and is trained on the workflows and procedures in DEA’s Control Center. After successfully completing the training program, the DSO Assistant will have the opportunity to become a qualified DSO and assume all duties and responsibilities appropriate to the DSO position.
In this position you will learn how to use various computer applications necessary for efficient day to day operation of DEA’s electric distribution system. This position also assists with the development and maintenance of training materials, record keeping of maps or technical data used in the operations, and management of the electrical distribution system.
