This is a temporary position and is expected to last for approximately six months, dependant on business needs.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Academic Media Coordinator collaborates with Instructional Designers, Faculty and other stakeholders to create media for academic purposes. The Academic Media Coordinator will be in charge of excellent processes to create, edit, and publish academic media.

  • Design, develop, and maintain instructional media/assets in consultation with Instructional Designers, Faculty, and other stakeholders
  • Complete all stages of the media production lifecycle, including pre-production, production, and post-production
  • Develop templates, training guides, and job aids to assist with rapid development of instructional media
  • Train and supervise Students to assist in all stages of media production
  • Research, test, and recommend software and hardware for instructional media
  • Maintain relevant knowledge of the latest trends and technologies available for efficient and effective creation of instructional media
  • The person in this position will have expert knowledge of audio and video production techniques, functionality of all UST recording spaces
  • Other duties, as assigned

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Execute media production support activities as assigned, including producing, shooting, editing and processing of playback media files for live events or on-demand viewing.
  • Training, scheduling, and supervising students assisting executing the media production workflow
  • Assist in the creation of St Thomas Studio spaces
  • Facilitate and document the media creation workflow
  • Remain current with and use ITS Support Services procedures for designated systems of record for ticket reporting, data and documentation tools, installation & inventory, IRT Communication guidelines, customer communication, technology trends and other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or the equivalent
  • Two (2) years of experience providing audiovisual operations and desktop computer operations and software support including applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience with St. Thomas computing environment
