Structural Engineer

Life Time, Inc. has an opening for the position of Structural Engineer based out of its offices in Chanhassen, MN.  The position provides strong technical expertise and project quality assurance/quality control to establish and ensure Life Time structural standards on all projects. Partner with Life Time Construction and business owners to establish and evaluate structural design systems and perform necessary calculations. Troubleshoot and resolve structural issues that arise in existing clubs. Review and provide input regarding geotechnical reports, prototype and project-specific drawing changes, change orders and contracts, code resolution, existing club solutions and innovation analysis, among other construction documents. Research and develop new structural solutions for new prototypes and unique projects. Provide technical expertise and input to achieve design goals. Perform analysis of building materials and conduct field measuring and checking at construction sites to verify existing conditions. Manage, supervise, and coordinate with construction and development regarding project activities, schedule, and budget.  Position is based out of Life Time corporate headquarters in Chanhassen, MN but requires semi-regular travel (10-15% of the time) to unanticipated Life Time construction sites across the United States.  Position requires at least a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering and Management, or related Engineering field, plus three years of experience as a structural engineer or project manager conducting prototyping using CAD software programs including REVIT and AutoCAD, planning and scheduling using MS project and Primavera software, overseeing the large scale roll-out of $10M+ structural and civil projects, and performing cost
