ALLETE/MN Power located in beautiful Duluth, MN is looking for an Engineer II/III/Senior Substation Engineer position to design control, protection, relaying and SCADA for medium and high voltage electrical substations.

This position will work both independently and collaboratively with a cross-functional team to meet the project needs of a variety of stake holders. Stake holders range from intra company departments to municipalities and large industrial power customers.

Projects vary in length from weeks to multiyear with the opportunities to design solutions to both familiar and unique problems.

This position provides opportunities to visit equipment manufacturing facilities and professional development training. The Substation Engineer would perform site visits for field verifications at medium and high voltage substations before, during and after construction.
