Job Description:

Job Summary:

Provides physical therapy for patients; including SMSC Community members and their families, SMSC employees and their families, and Native Americans living in Scott County, in a clinic setting. Diagnoses and treats acute, chronic, and long-term conditions. Teaches and counsels patients regarding prescribed medical treatments and also emphasizes wellness and injury prevention.

Job Duties:

  1. Gathers data from patients regarding health history, review of physical complaints, laboratory testing, diagnostic imaging, and other diagnostic interventions as needed to determine the patient's condition.
  2. Review and discuss patient-specific treatment methodologies available and treatment plan options in an effort to determine which treatment is best suited for the patient's condition.
  3. Provide manual therapy.
  4. Evaluate and document patient progress and recommend adjustments/modifications in treatment plan if necessary as indicated.
  5. Document the examination, diagnosis, treatment plan, prognosis, and any relevant medical information for each patient within the confidential patient record.
  6. Provides health education opportunities for staff on various health-related topics as requested.
  7. Refer patients for other medical services to other health care providers as needed.
  8. Special projects as assigned by the Wellness Administrator.
  9. Successful completion of Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited college or university.
  10. Must be currently licensed as a Licensed Physical Therapist by and in good standing with the Minnesota Board of Physical Therapy.
  11. Good computer skills to include MS Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as other business related software as needed.
  12. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  13. Must hold and maintain Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification. If not CPR certified upon hire, must obtain certification within 90 days of employment.

 


Requirements:  

 

We are looking for 2 Full-Time positions. Physical Therapist and or Occupational Therapist.

 

 

Occupational Therapist:

 

  1. Successful completion of Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college or university.

  2. Must be currently licensed as a Licensed Occupational Therapist by and in good standing with the Minnesota Board of Occupational Therapy.

  3. Good computer skills to include MS Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as other business related software as needed.

  4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  5. Must hold and maintain Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification. If not CPR certified upon hire, must obtain certification within 90 days of employment.

  6. On feet or standing 50% of time.
