Technical Trainer
Job Details
Client in NW Houston has an immediate need for an experienced Technical Trainer to join their team. This direct hire opportunity offers salary plus annual bonus and benefits.
Conduct a needs assessment that determines what types of training should be provided to employees. This includes identifying gaps between the skills of individual employees and what they need to be able to perform. It may also include analyzing the skills that the workforce as a whole needs to allow the plant to move forward toward accomplishing its strategic goals and objectives. Responsibilities:
Work with the production supervisors and group leaders to assess training needs for new and existing production department employees
Identify internal and external training programs to address competency gaps
Organize, develop or source training programs to meet specific training need
Develop training aids such as manuals and handbooks
Map out training plans for individual employees
Facilitate learning through a variety of delivery methods including classroom instruction or on-the-job coaching
Develop and apply assessment tools to measure training effectiveness
Track and report on training outcomes
Maintain employee training records
Handle logistics for training activities EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:
Bachelor's degree on related field required Skills and Experience: Previous experience in a supervisory capacity
4+ years' manufacturing plant experience
Teaching skills such as presentation, facilitation, and coaching
Be able to handle a wide variety of administrative duties and project management tasks
Strong interpersonal communication abilities
Data gathering and analysis
Problem analysis and problem solving
Multitasking
Outstanding organizational skills
