Job Details

Digital People is seeking a UX Researcher for a contract position you won’t want to pass up! In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the best possible user experience, satisfaction, and conversion across customer-facing websites. This role will conduct UX research projects ranging from immersive field research to usability and lab studies. Responsibilities:

  • Create deep understanding and empathy for our customers by conducting a diverse range of research activities
  • Work collaboratively with user experience team members, development teams, product teams, users, and other stakeholders as part of an agile development process
  • Work closely with partners across multiple product teams to understand the business problem and then clearly define the research goal and objectives
  • Identify the best qualitative or quantitative method or mix of methods based on the customer goal, timeline, and resourcing
  • Create recruiting screeners, test scripts, interview guides and schedule research studies
  • Employ a variety of test methodologies such as Standard Usability Testing, Comparative Testing, Ethnographic Studies, Contextual Inquiry, Rapid Iterative Testing, Prototype Testing, Concept Validation, Card-Sorting, Benchmarking
  • Lead contextual inquiry research, such as ethnography, diary studies, etc. to understand the end-to-end user journey
  • Create appropriate recruitment screeners for each study to ensure the recruit matches target demographics
  • Utilize remote, unmoderated usability test platforms (usertesting.com, UserZoom) to rapidly turn around concurrent tests
  • Facilitate research and/or usability test studies, which include selecting and scheduling research and/or usability test participants prior to the studies
  • Facilitate moderated usability test sessions
  • Create well-written deliverables that provide succinct, and actionable insights
  • Use research insights to drive impact on product design and direction
  • Create and present the results of the research and/or usability test study to UX designer, product management, and stakeholders
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues related to test recording software and devices
  • Analyze quantitative data and synthesize it with qualitative feedback
  • Work with UX designers and product owners to develop strategic roadmaps and identify end user needs

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years experience leading usability testing and user research
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating past work experience and deliverables (Recruiting Screeners, Interview Guides, Analysis, Actionable Recommendations, Research Reports, etc)
  • Experience with a variety of research tools including UserTesting.com, Optimal Workshop, Loop11, UsabilityHub, or other similar tools
  • End-to-end experience conducting all aspects of research (study design, recruiting, moderation, analysis, reporting)
  • Advanced proficiency in evaluating user interactions and identifying opportunities to improve the digital user experience
  • Experience conducting research throughout an Agile development process
  • Experience working on complex websites
  • Experience conducting user research for large e-commerce organizations preferred
  • Exposure to design software, such as, Axure, Invision and Sketch preferred
  • Experience presenting user research results to stakeholders of different levels
  • Experience building strong relationships and collaborating across large organizations
  • Accessibility research knowledge a bonus
