We are currently recruiting for a PART TIME, 3 days a week Public Relations Specialist for a position located in the Northwest Suburbs.
This person will be assisting with Media Outreach and general PR Communication activities related to our client’s conference coming up in September.
Compiling targeted media lists; identifying conference topics to highlight in traditional and niche media
Assist with the development of specific story pitch plans, the execution of planned media outreach and other activities related to the conference and on-site media coverage
Bachelor’s Degree in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing or related field
Minimum of 3 years of PR/communications experience; PR agency and journalism background a plus
Solid media relations background and experience executing social media content for professional organizations
Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to convey concise, relevant and powerful messages
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products
Familiarity with media contact database programs, such as Cision
Must be able to work ON-SITE for the 3 days a week!
