Job Details

We are currently recruiting for a PART TIME, 3 days a week Public Relations Specialist for a position located in the Northwest Suburbs. 

This person will be assisting with Media Outreach and general PR Communication activities related to our client’s conference coming up in September.

Duties include:

  • Compiling targeted media lists; identifying conference topics to highlight in traditional and niche media
  • Assist with the development of specific story pitch plans, the execution of planned media outreach and other activities related to the conference and on-site media coverage
  • Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of PR/communications experience; PR agency and journalism background a plus
  • Solid media relations background and experience executing social media content for professional organizations
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to convey concise, relevant and powerful messages
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Familiarity with media contact database programs, such as Cision
  • Must be able to work ON-SITE for the 3 days a week!
