Job Description: Job Summary:
As a Kitchen Associate Lead you will produce food for both Playworks and community events. The Lead will have a focus on preparing more complex food items while ensuring quality control of all Playworks made products, making certain to follow documented recipes and procedures. Will also direct kitchen staff to ensure food orders are accurately and properly prepared. This position understands the importance of meeting daily nutritional goals while maintaining an accurate inventory of finished and raw goods. Teamwork, flexibility, commitment to maintaining a safe workplace, and a strong work ethic are all vital for success. Must enjoy working with children.
Requirements: Schedule: 10:30a-6:30p Sunday-Thursday. - Closed most holidays! Please note schedule may be adjusted to meet business needs.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Cook experience in any of the following types of kitchens: line, banquets/catering or production.
- Experience running kitchen/line in Chef's absence.
- Experience in ensuring food preparation procedures for quality, uniformity and accurateness are met.
- Basic knowledge of sanitation practices, quality control, recipe interpretation, and prep duties.
- Pass background check, work physical and drug test.
- Valid driver's license may be required with good driving record.
