Atterro has an exciting opportunity for an Forensic Investigator in Plano, TX

This position will conduct highly sensitive and confidential internal/external investigations.  Performs all the necessary stages to ensure the proper steps are taken for data intake, processing, and hosting.  Process all requests for eDiscovery related material requested made by SEA security and/or the legal team. In addition, the employee will perform internal computer forensic investigations.  This position requires an individual who is highly organized and results-driven having the ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously under a tight timeline.  The ideal candidate will have a technology undergraduate degree with extensive experience in digital forensics and eDiscovery technologies or equivalent work experience.

Investigations:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:  Other duties may be assigned.  In this position, either directly or through others, the incumbent will:

  • Interact with company Legal and Security teams in response to litigation requests;
  • Perform data intake, extraction, processing, and all production activities necessary to prepare confidential internal data for attorney review;
  • Assist with the resolution of any software or hardware issues related to the Litigation support technology applications, including the ability to act as system administration role for AccessData, Magnet Software and other forensic tool suite of products;
  • Preserve, harvest, and process electronic data according to the company's policies and practices;
  • Perform highly sensitive internal investigations as required, and report findings to the SEA Security leadership;
  • Perform digital forensic analysis;
  • Preform cellular/mobile device forensic analysis;
  • Form and articulate expert opinions based on analysis;
  • Ability to write clear and concise and accurate investigative reports;
  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally on short notice;
  • Ability to employ effective surveillance and investigation techniques;
  • Ability to utilize resourcefulness and creativity to solve complex problems;
  • Pull reports when incidents occur and assist law enforcement across the US;
  • Prepare responsive data for law enforcement subpoenas, warrants and court orders;
  • Support security initiatives and projects as needed.

    Background/Experience to qualify for this position, the following minimal background and skill levels are required:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Digital Forensics, or a related field from a college or university and/or extensive (minimum 3 years) work experience,
  • Extensive work experience can substitute for college requirement,
  • Minimum of 5 years investigative experience;
  • Interview Experience, Reed or similar training/certification preferred,
  • Experience working in Law Enforcement Digital Forensics, Corporate eDiscovery/Digital Forensic environment;
  • Experience in testifying in depositions, and within a Court of Law;
  • Vendor management experience preferred;
  • Must have Microsoft Office Suite of PC software applications experience with Excel spreadsheet, and PowerPoint preparation skills operating in an NT LAN/WAN systems environment.
  • Experience with AccessData suite of products or similar product;
  • Experience/familiar with Magnet Software suite of products or similar product;
  • Experience/familiar with Cellular/Mobile Device forensics;
  • Familiarity with Windows, Macintosh, and Linux Operating Systems;
  • Familiarity with computer system hardware and software installation and troubleshooting;
  • EnCE, CCE, ACE, QSA, ASIS, Secret Service or FBI-CART certifications are preferred;
  •

  • Demonstrated ability to interact with all levels within the organization and have an external network within the industry;
  • The ability to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple and simultaneous projects and assignments;
  • Ability to interpret, and properly act on a variety of security situations and issues;
  • Ability to communicate in writing, through emails and reports, or orally administrative, safety, and security matters to an audience that may include less technically oriented and trained listeners.

    Physical/Mental Demands and Working Conditions: The position requires the ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities in the following environment:

  • Work is generally performed in an office, laboratory, or warehouse environment;
  • Operate a computer keyboard and view a video display terminal more than 50% of work time, including prolonged periods of time;
  • Requires considerable (90%+) work utilizing moderately high visual acuity/detail, numeric/character/color distinction, and moderate hand/finger dexterity;
  • The movement and transportation of equipment may be in excess of 50 pounds;
  • Performs work under time schedules and stresses which are normally periodic or cyclical, including time sensitive job stress, fatigue, intellectual challenge, constant technical data feedback, language barriers, and project management stress;
  • May be required to work around heavy machines, tools, equipment, and work aids to include PCs, printers, copiers, faxes, dollies, forklifts, and other equipment commonly associated with electronic product test laboratory, warehouse, and repair work areas;
  • Works additional hours beyond normal schedule;
  • Minimal travel to customer or SEA sites of 35 percent of the time or less;
  •  

    Under limited supervision with a high level of responsibility to apply general policies and guidelines where decisions are seldom monitored and consequences of decisions may adversely affect operating results and management decisions.

    This contract assignment is eligible for benefits and PTO through Atterro.
