WEB ENGINEER

Best Buy Co., Inc. has multiple openings in Richfield, MN for the position of Web Engineer to analyze, design, and implement Automation test frameworks for web-based and server applications. Evaluate current state of Deployment Pipeline and drive change across the organization to propel a fully automated deployment pipeline. Develop and facilitate zero downtime deployments for 300+ BestBuy Dotcom web applications on various platforms such as AWS, datacenter and OpenShift. Architect and automate analytics tools and deployments using scripting languages and automation tools. Deliver automated test suites for user interfaces with varied tools, including Selenium and REST APIs. Update deployment configurations for applications to ensure standards are followed. Manage uptime of Quality Assurance and Stage environments, including the associated applications. Provide leadership and expertise in development of new projects. Independently manage multiple projects/initiatives simultaneously. Manage timely resolution of critical and/or complex problems with the different platforms in multiple environments. Communicate with project management, business stakeholders and operations. Requires: Bachelor's degree or equivalent foreign degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Electronic Engineering, plus five (5) years of progressive, post-bachelor's degree experience in the ecommerce domain for large-scale consumer retail, developing web applications, delivering automated test suites for user interfaces, and writing and executing code and manual test scripts, using Java or Groovy, REST, SOAP, JavaScript, Data Center, AWS or Open Shift, Maven or Gradle, Selenium or Jenkins, and GIT. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Master's degree or equivalent foreign degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Electronic Engineering, plus three (3) years of experience, as described above.
