Secretary - Class B - CHILD NUTRITION DEPARTMENT
Full Time  260 days/8 hrs/day

Provide secretarial support for Child Nutrition Department.

  Duties:  Process family applications for free and reduced-price meals using software program; data entry; process direct approvals and other related tasks including recordkeeping, filing, answering phones, and creating letters.  Perform other general clerical duties as assigned, including backup for two department secretaries as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:  High school diploma or equivalent; ability / desire to use computer for word processing, record keeping and information retrieval; good oral and written communication and organizational skills; accuracy and attention to detail;  flexibility; ability / desire to work cooperatively with department, district staff and public;  ability to lift 25 pounds; ability to perform position responsibilities including physical factors, work devices and materials handling, data functions, and people functions.

Preferred Qualifications:  Experience with Microsoft Office software preferred.  Experience with Synergy preferred.  Strong interpersonal skills working with families. preferred.

Rate of pay: $15.90/hour.    Insurance benefits available for assigned positions of 6 hours or more per day and 193 days per year.

Start Date:  ASAP after closing.
