DUTIES

The Director of Nutritional Services is responsible for organizing, developing and directing the overall operation of the Nutritional Services Department. This position is responsible for items such as, but not limited to, managing all personnel within department, ensuring proper food storing, preparing and serving procedures are being followed, and maintaining the departmental budget. The ideal candidate has a passion for working with the senior population and brings creativity to the delivery of meal service offerings and atmosphere.

QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires a bachelor's degree in food and nutrition. Must have a minimum of three (3) to five (5) years food management experience in a health care facility. Must be knowledgeable of dietary practices and procedures as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines governing dietary functions in a long term care facility and possess an understanding of MN Department of Health regulations. Must possess leadership ability including the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures of the department. Must have good communication skills, verbal and written.
