Job Details

GENERAL SUMMARY: • Perform a wide variety of payroll processing activities including but not limited to calculating and recording bi-weekly payroll and Time & Attendance administration.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Processing of bi-weekly payroll for U.S.  • Ensures that computing, withholding, or deductions associated with net pay is done properly.  • Handles state and local tax notices  • Ensures payroll records are updated and reports on any matters of interest.  • Assists in implementing new and/or revised policies/procedures to ensure efficient processing of payroll. • Works independently to prepare ad hoc reports as required.  • Preparation and reconciliation of monthly General Ledger accounts as assigned, with minimal direction from manager. • Preparation of monthly journal entries as assigned. • Continual improvement and standardization of payroll operations and systems.  • Maintains all ADP systems/modules to ensure accuracy and completeness  • Implements controls to ensure 100% quality and accuracy of all numbers. • Works with ADP directly on all system updates and changes.  • Ensures all fringe benefits are handled properly per current payroll required laws and regulations. • Calculate and File employee wage verifications.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS: • Comprehensive and working knowledge of payroll systems, namely ADP Vantage • High proficiency in Excel, Word • Knowledge of applicable local, state and federal payroll and related tax laws, regulations and statutes. • Minimum of 5 years payroll experience  • An associate degree or equivalent training  • Confidentiality of sensitive pay information
