Cross Country Coaches for Middle Schools - Community Ed Youth Instructors
Community Ed Youth Instructors and Asst. Instructors are responsible for delivery of curriculum of Community School Programs for Preschool-Grade 8.
Date & Hours: September 2019 thru October 2019; After school practice is Monday thru Thursday approx 3:00 pm (depending on the school) to approx 6:00 pm.
Locations: Anoka Middle, Coon Rapids Middle, Jackson, Middle, Northdale Middle, Oak View Middle, Roosevelt Middle
Duties include: Cross Country coaching - running practice, skill development, and meet management. Provide student safety and program presentation. Coaches must have the ability to run with the team during practice. Perform other duties as assigned. (Concussion training is required.)
Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. Ability to maintain regular attendance, which includes completing an assigned day. Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds. Ability to perform position responsibilities including physical factors, work devices and materials handling, data functions, and people functions. (Concussion training is required.)
Preferred Qualifications: Previous Cross Country playing and/or Cross Country coaching experience preferred. Relevant work experience and previous experience with community school activities preferred. Advanced training or college degree preferred for coach and assistant coach positions preferred. Previous experience working with middle school ages students preferred.
