Position Summary and Responsibilities
The Department of Art, Broadcasting and Professional Communication invites applications for an instructor or assistant professor, beginning in August 2019.

The teaching load for this position is 12 credit hours per semester (fall and spring). The candidate must be able to teach a variety of undergraduate courses that may include social media, journalism, event planning, and related foundation classes. In addition, the person will advise students, serve on departmental and University committees, make scholarly contributions to the profession, and supervise students who are completing internships, capstone projects, and other experiential experiences. Faculty members are evaluated on teaching, scholarship, and service.
 
Qualifications
Qualified applicants must hold a graduate degree in Communications or a closely related field; PhD preferred and master’s degree considered. Ideal candidates must be willing to work collaboratively to build and grow a dynamic and innovative program. Priority will be given to applicants with evidence of (1) high-quality teaching, both face-to-face and online, (2) strong background in social media, (3) relevant professional work experience, and (4) knowledge of esports.
 
Compensation
