Internal Audit provides independent assurance and risk insights to and collaborates with business owners across the enterprise. You'll use professional judgment, analytics, agile concepts and other innovations daily. You'll understand, assess the effectiveness of and help improve risk management capabilities (e.g., processes and controls) for Target's strategic, business and compliance objectives.

As a SOX Senior Manager, you will manage the development and execution of Internal Audit's independent assessment of the Company's compliance program with respect to Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002. You will leverage your knowledge of risk management capabilities, including identifying and assessing risks and internal controls and utilizing your subject matter expertise. Managing Internal Audit SOX activities requires leading a global team with direct and indirect reports in the US and India. It also requires leading a team with a high level of initiative, providing clear direction and coaching and holding others accountable, managing projects effectively, communicating with business owners and developing and maintaining strong business relationships. You will collaborate with external auditors and internal partners (including technology and finance second line of defense teams, as well as the control owners) to promote a strong risk-intelligent culture at Target. You will foster your personal development by remaining current with industry trends and emerging risks and gaining unique experiences supporting a meaningful career. About you:
  • B.A/B.S degree + relevant professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CISA, CIA)
  • 8-12 years of internal controls experience, including IT general controls, data integrations and segregation of duties audit experience
  • Strong knowledge of the requirements of SOX, PCAOB, GAAP accounting standards, and other applicable professional guidance
  • Knowledge of external auditor requirements and reporting, including experience with key IT control frameworks (COBIT, NIST, ISO, etc.)
  • Knowledge/audit experience of the following: SAP, Workday, TAP, SQL, Oracle, Mainframe, Windows, UNIX and Active Directory
  • Expert knowledge of the following technical areas, including in a cloud-based environment: network security, operating system security, database security, secure system development, identity and access management, physical access controls, backup and critical job execution/monitoring and information security policy
  • Experienced in using data and analytical tools in SOX
  • Demonstrate strong professional judgment, critical thinking and written/oral communication skills
  • Ability to recommend, influence and drive change on corporate-wide issues, up to and including executive leadership
  • Experienced in leading, coaching and developing team members
  • Strong project management skills
  • Experience with agile concepts and mindsets (preferred)
  • Knowledge of tools such as Archer (preferred)
