A role with the Indirect Sourcing & Procurement Center of Excellence (IS&P COE) is a chance to positively impact several key areas of Target's business. Your input will ensure that Target realizes the expected value from the terms of our agreements that comprise nearly a $10 billion annual spend toward innovative and competitively priced goods and services by:
  • Promoting best practices across the entire company by developing deep knowledge and client relationships in each spend category
  • Providing expert integrated business planning and stakeholder management for all indirect items and services
  • Applying intelligent rate, demand and specification levers to source, negotiate and contract services while sustainably lowering costs
  • Propelling the business with accurate and comprehensive demand forecasting, financial planning and item setup
  • Changing the game for our internal online catalog end users by making the entire buying process faster and simpler

As the Sr. Systems Analyst, you are responsible for understanding the primary requirements to support enhanced spend visibility and drive effective business decisions. Partner with teams within the COE and primary purchasing units to align on business objectives so effective measurements can be provided. Understand tools for collecting, analyzing and managing data to provide key insights for actionable improvements in Indirect spend. The Performance Management Professional will be a key contributor in providing the analytical-level support to the ISP COE team. The role requires a curious nature, ability to innovate in a space, along with analytical thought and technical expertise to produce fact based summary information.
  • Analyzes existing operational reports to collect information in order to track trends, identify opportunities and determine impacts of strategic and operational changes on operational metrics. Additionally, needs to identify data and key metrics when reporting may not always be available.
  • Enterprise Spend Reporting - Reviews/analyzes past and current spend levels
  • Partners cross functionally to identify metrics that provide leadership with the information needed to make critical decisions and manage issues
  • Understands and masters the use of multiple systems and teams involved in the Indirect Spend including SAP, Ariba, Finance, Enterprise Data & Business Analytics, Tax, Sourcing, IRL, Procurement Operations
  • Builds effective relationships with key influencers.
  • Drive improvements in the quality of data - meet with key teams to understand issues with data and work across the organization to drive alignment
  • Ensures delivery of dashboards and metrics to drive business decisions
  • Driving standardization, creating enterprise reports that achieve economies of scale in partnership with TI team, and documentation for all requirements
  • Preparing data and presentations for leadership meetings
  • Understand key procurement data standards e.g. Indirect Item requirements, SAP/ECC, UNSPSC

About you:
  • Bachelor Degree
  • 2-4 years of experience within an Operations environment
  • Experienced in analysis and proven technical capabilities
  • Proven ability to analyze and interpret complex data and make recommendations for future action.
  • Strong client focus and ability to manage expectations.
  • Understanding of Ariba, data and ability to learn broader data tools
  • Self-starter able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and conceptual skills.
  • Must be able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and changing priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, able to communicate clearly and effectively.
