SALES SUPPORT/TECHNOLOGY SUPPORT,

SPECIALTY MILLING

Buhler Inc. has an opportunity for a Sales Support/Technology Support, Specialty Milling at our facility in Plymouth, Minnesota. The primary duty of the Sales Support/Technology Support, Specialty Milling is to respond to customer requests for product information/specifications and quotes, and accelerate the sales cycle. This position serves as a technical expert regarding all aspects of the Company's product portfolio and product applications, and supports Sales Account Managers with all forms of product information needed to advance the sales process. This position requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Food Processing, Mechanical Engineering, Food Science, Process Engineering, or related field, plus one (1) year of sales engineering experience in the food processing industry or related occupation. Experience must include one (1) year of experience, which may be concurrent, in all of the following: 1) applying technical and mechanical knowledge and process know-how of specialty milling equipment; 2) applying knowledge of new developments and properties of oats and specialty grains such as quinoa, amaranth, millet and soy bean; 3) supporting Sales Account Managers in plant and equipment sales for specialty milling, including visits customers to identify potential and requirements, ascertaining and interpreting customer needs, and defining and developing the Technical Concept Document; 4) creating quotations: requesting Quotes, creating smaller Quotes self-sufficiently, checking and finalizing Quotes by using LEEGOO BUILDER proposal preparation software; creating flowsheets for specialty milling plants using AutoCAD 3D design software; 5) participating in project transfer from sales department to engineering department, including conveying customer requirements to engineering team, reviewing customer order, and reviewing contract; and 6) assisting customers with installation and start-up of equipment, managing set-up and operations of lines, establishing trial methodology, conducting customer trials, capturing and reporting resulting test data and managing the application database. Primarily domestic travel required up to 25% of the time. All experience may have been gained concurrently. Experience must have been acquired after completion of the Bachelor's Degree program.
