Position Summary

The Career Development Center at St. Catherine University invites applications for a full time information specialist. This position is responsible for providing technical support and training to students and the career development staff. This position functions as the interface between Career Development and the IT department. This position maintains multiple specialized databases, manages career technology resources, and collaborates with technology vendors to determine appropriate technology solutions.

Responsibilities:
• Manage and support technology and information systems.
• Prepare images and documents for multiple software platforms.
• Provides technical support and training to students and department staff.
• Support data collection, survey distribution and analytics related to assessments and reports.
• Maintain multiple specialized databases such as Handshake, manages career technology resources online and hard copy, and collaborates with technology vendors.
• Maintain and improve the Career Development website and researches new technology solutions.
• Serve as a member of the Career Development team, aiding with general office management projects, including supervision of student staff, front desk management, budget management, and help with special projects as requested.

Required Qualifications

Qualifications:
• Associate degree.
• Minimum of three years of information management/systems experience strongly preferred.
• Database design, development and management experience.
• Strong data collection, analytic and data reporting skills.
• Extensive knowledge of and experience with MS Office Suite - Excel and Word, Google Docs and applications, internet/ HTML , and ability to learn and manage proprietary databases.
• Demonstrated ability to learn new technology and tools.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational and problem solving skills.
• Ability to work with other departments in instructional and consultative roles and with diverse constituencies - staff, faculty, students, external recruiters, and ability to play leadership role.
• Flexibility, reliability and responsiveness to department and team members' needs.
• Excellent teamwork skills and ability to build a positive work environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree.
• Software skills: Adobe Photoshop, Acrobat Pro, Publisher, Canva and Qualtrix.
