Best Buy Co., Inc. has an opening in Richfield, MN for the position of Associate Manager, Market and Business Intelligence to lead small teams (onshore or offshore) for work on analytics and modeling processes to consume new data sources and create enhanced branding, advertising and media models across BBY business units; provide leadership and clients with timely and contextual customer, business, and market intelligence through interactive tools, dashboards, custom analytics, and communication platforms to enhance customer outcomes & business performance; investigate and develop opportunities to improve branding, advertising, and media presence and decision-making through analytical methods; use customer, business, and market analytics knowledge and thought leadership to deliver strategic decision support that helps de-risk and future proof specific initiatives and inspires new strategic exploration; and, work closely with IT to help create automated and standardized data foundations, analytical infrastructure (tools) and reports.Requires: At least a Bachelor's degree in Management, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Business, Engineering, or a closely related technical specialty, plus at least two years experience in consumer retail analytics or low-transaction frequency retail business analytics, leveraging transactional, demographic, and survey data. Experience must have included: (1) assisting in the management of vendor teams in an onshore/offshore model; (2) developing algorithm/models for solution building; and (3) utilizing data management platforms and languages including: Netezza SQL, SAS, Teradata SQL, VBA, and SPSS.
