Great direct hire opportunity in NW Houston for an Applications Engineer. The engineer uses technical knowledge along with interpersonal skills to understand customer`s issues and propose solutions. Engineer may participate in all facets of the business cycle including: quoting, forecasting, preparing technical literature, presenting product features and benefits, solving technical and commercial issues.
This position offers a base salary plus annual company performance bonus and benefits!
Responsibilities:
Travel: 25% to 50%
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: BSEE, BSME or registered P.E.

Responsibilities:
- Assist and lead the sales department with product support including technical presentations, proper application of our products, review customer engineering specifications, preparation of quotations under the supervision, and obtaining answers to questions at all stages of negotiation, production, and after shipment activities.
- Possesses a general knowledge of the product offering, industry standards (i.e. UL, CE, NEMA, IEEE, etc.)
- Possesses a general knowledge of the application of product offerings.
- Develops and reviews product literature such as manuals, brochures, application notes, success stories, white papers etc.
- Develop a general knowledge of other complimentary products.
- Tests assigned products in the laboratory environment for their performance characteristics.
- Develop a general knowledge of our competitor s product offerings.
- Interface with Design Engineers to resolve technical problems as well as assist with new product specifications.
- Communicate with sales force and customers.
- Train sales force and customers with others or independently.
- Complete additional projects as assigned by supervisor.
- Comply with all policies, procedures and link company objectives to assigned activities.
- Employee needs to be aware and maintain profitability through orders and quotes.
- This position may be responsible for sign off/review of quotes, according to policy.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: BSEE, BSME or registered P.E.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- 2-8 years in the engineering discipline
- MS Office, ERP, CRM, AutoCAD, use of various electronic instruments such as meters, oscilloscopes, etc.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
