Job Details

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position supports the business by ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of plant machinery and equipment. Applicants must possess the skills to design, develop, document, analyze, test, and modify computer programs related to machinery. This position is responsible for troubleshooting equipment and their operating programs, performing diagnostics, calibrations, and repair of equipment and making recommendations for improved performance.


PAY RATE:  $23-$28/hr
SHIFT:  2nd Shift (3:00pm-11:30pm)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

•       Perform troubleshooting, adjustments, maintenance, and repairs of electrical, electronic, and electromechanical equipment and systems including PLCs, MMIs, servo motor drive systems, VSDs, pneumatics, and hydraulics to maintain reliable operation.

•       Perform programming of PLCs, MMIs, and VSDs as required for installations and modifications.

•       Maintain and repair faults in secondary circuits. Maintain high voltage switchgear and controls, motor control centers and other control devices.

•       Provide training to maintenance technicians and operators.

•       Perform testing, calibration, and repair of all plant instrumentation systems.

•       Maintain updated electrical drawings.

•       Perform mechanical maintenance.

•       Improve machine efficiency, performance.

•       Keep machines safe and in good condition.

•       Implement best maintenance practices.

•       Maintain organized and clean work area, applying lean manufacturing.

•       Perform duties in the shift that is needed; Be available on call when required.

•       Perform Maintenance Supervisor duties when required.

•       Apply continuous improvement.

•       Preventative Maintenance tracking and improvement.

•       Track maintenance performance reports according Diab KPI’s and monthly report.

•       Other tasks as required. 


ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

·        High School education or equivalent

·        Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

·        Ability to pass pre-employment background and drug screen.

·        Ability to work assigned shift, as well as overtime, weekends, and call-ins as needed.


QUALIFICATIONS:

·        At least 4 years of PLC and controls experience in addition to at least 2 years electrical experience in a manufacturing environment.

·        Thorough knowledge of PID control techniques, relay/ ladder logic, and PLC/MMI.

·        Experience with A-B, Siemens, Honeywell, Mitsubishi PLCs.

·        Capable of troubleshooting and performing installations from electrical schematics.

·        Good verbal and written communication skills.

·        Familiarity with MS Word and Excel programs.

·        Hands on approach.

·        Action oriented.

·        Team work mentality.

·        Ability to interface with other departments and production workers.

·        Continuous improvement oriented.
