OVERVIEW

The Department of Economics invites applications for a non-tenure track position at the Assistant Professor level.

The position involves teaching and mentoring students in microeconomic theory, health economics, and economics of the family. The typical teaching load consists of 3 courses (2 preparations) per semester in a small-class setting. Examples of courses to be taught are as follows: Principles of Microeconomics, Principles of Macroeconomics, Microeconomic Theory, Health Economics, Economics of the Family, and the Chinese Economy which is a part of our umbrella Country and Area Studies Course.


QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates must have completed their PhD (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Economics at the time of the appointment. The successful candidate must have economics teaching experience and possess a demonstrated commitment to undergraduate education and an active research agenda in the aforementioned fields.

Review of applications will start immediately and will continue until August 15, 2019. Screening interviews will be conducted by phone, followed by campus visits for the finalists.
