We seek an Accounts Receivable Specialist to primarily to manage all accounts receivable activities for a growing company. Our successful candidate will have a high degree of smarts, strategic orientation, attention to detail, and the creativity necessary to identify and assess multiple options and pathways toward a set of identified goals.

Responsibilities:

Maintain database of client contracts, amendments and extensions, and resulting accounts receivable schedule.

Reconcile reimbursable expenses, prepare and send client invoices and credit memos with appropriate documentation.

Calculate and post receipts to appropriate general ledger accounts and verify the details of transactions, such as funds received and total account balances.

Maintain roster of “non-standard” A/R requirements, prepare required data and/or solicit from staff as appropriate.

Verify status of delinquent accounts and solicit payment on overdue accounts.

Prepare monthly receivable statements and ad hoc analysis.

Respond to inquiries from clients and staff on billing issues and other matters.

Provide backup support to other staff in the finance department, type periodic reports and perform other general administrative duties.

Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Prior accounting experience is preferred, but not required; Must have outstanding attention to detail.

Temperament and character make all the difference - must be patient, resilient, and kind.

Must be able to work in an extremely fast-paced environment, with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands; flexibility is essential.

Clear, concise, effective verbal and written communication skills.

Strong spreadsheet skills required.
