Ballard Spahr LLP is seeking an experienced Developer with strong programming, debugging and troubleshooting skills to be responsible for application development tasks, related to complex and mission critical information systems. The Developer is also responsible for the maintenance of existing systems.

The selected individual will possess technical writing and documentation skills, have a strong knowledge of Microsoft .NET C# programming language, UI/UX skills and experience integrating with RESTful services and APIs as well as Microsoft Visual Studio.  A familiarity with HTML, JQuery, JavaScript, AngularJS, and CSS, SDLC concepts, TDD and DevOps and an understanding of database technologies, and how to integrate with ASP .NET applications is desired.  Familiarity with data integration and strong SQL Server skills are required.

This position reports to the Development Manager and can be located in the Philadelphia or Minneapolis office.

The selected individual will be self-motivated with strong customer service and team building skills, have an exceptional attention to detail and excellent organizational and problem solving skills and a high degree of initiative. Solid communication skills and the ability to work independently, set priorities and manage multiple deadlines are essential.

An undergraduate degree and 5+ years of knowledge and hands-on experience in developing, administering and maintaining web based application technologies is required.  Authentication and authorization development experience and knowledge of responsive design techniques, and related libraries (such as BootStrap) preferred.
