A role in Supply Chain Operations as a Lead Continuous Improvement Process Excellence Process Manager means the opportunity to contribute to an emerging new team that's adding smart and capable people. You will create, lead implementation, and drive long term improvement to process paths within our middle mile supply chain RDC operations by reducing or eliminating inefficiencies and defects. This role will play a pivotal part of supporting our supply chain RDC field operations, and will be in the middle of exciting work as we continue to build out our future supply chain, enabling the successful support and growth of our store and online operations. Your passion meets your vision when it comes to working to solve every day challenges of moving orders to guests and stores in the safest, most efficient manner across Target's replenishment node operations.

As a Lead Continuous Improvement Process Excellence manager of Inbound Value Stream, you will support all field-based continuous improvement efforts; aligning deep expertise by process path and department while leveraging Lean/ Six Sigma methodologies. You will be responsible for the collective movement of productivity within each process path for Inbound Receive to Put away to support goal delivery. In this role, you will provide direct support through on-site visits, lead Kaizen events by process path, and focus efforts on the bottom performing sites to improve performance. You will interact with a broad set of stakeholders across the supply chain, data, project teams, and program managers while focusing on outcomes within RDC Receive to Put Away operations. You'll connect partners as appropriate, teach and train on project and program practices, driving towards sequenced deliverables required to build Target's future supply chain. About you:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years field operations Inbound/ MBP/ Pack department experience
  • Experience managing multiple, complex initiatives at one time
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with limited direction
  • Knowledge of various parts of supply chain (logistics, distribution) or retail segments (apparel, food) preferred
  • Enjoys detailed work and communicating updates to various levels of leaders
  • Strong reasoning, analytical, statistical, and problem solving skills
  • Proven ability to motivate teams and manage conflict; ability to provide feedback and develop others leaders
  • Practical application of Continuous Improvement and Six Sigma principles in a manufacturing or supply chain environment preferred.
