A role with the National Investigation Center (NIC) means focusing on the identification and resolution of internal and external theft activity in stores and DCs across the country. This team identifies, investigates and resolves internal and external theft across the company from a centralized location, leveraging state of the art technology and reporting to impact organized retail crime and internal theft investigations.

As an Assets Protection Sr. Manager within our National Investigation Center - Internal Investigations team, you will belong to a great team of genuine, diverse, courageous and versatile people who put integrity and ethics at the heart of everything they do. You will develop, communicate and execute strategies and priorities for your team, evolve and innovate process improvements and drive results and continuous change through your team. You will experience leading a team of leaders and will lead the overall teams' strategies around hiring, setting clear expectations, talent & development routines and performance management.

As a Sr. Manager - Internal Investigations, you will:
  • Be responsible for the overall teams' hiring strategies to bring on highly driven, curious, and talented team members on board
  • Coach and develop team members to create a positive work environment and promote personal and professional development
  • Build and evolve the overall vision and strategy of the team through clearly aligned goals with our field team
  • Evolve our exception reporting with modernized data analytics
  • Clearly define success measures for the overall team and each individual, report results and use results to identify training opportunities and needs to evolve strategies and routines
  • Innovate and evolve existing processes and strategies to drive efficiencies and results
  • Execute the strategy and operations of the National Investigation Center and Internal Investigations teams
  • Work closely with cross functional teams across the enterprise to identify new ways of identifying internal theft and engaging your team to support special projects requiring surveillance and intelligence gathering

About you:
  • College Degree
  • Experience with hiring, training, coaching and performance management
  • Ability to identify and implement process efficiencies
  • Challenge the status quo and drive for new and more effective ways of getting meaningful work done
  • Build strategies grounded in data and clear understanding of AP vision and the collaboration needed to align on common goals
  • Advanced cognitive skills; including problem analysis, decision making ability, data analysis
  • Ability to work collaboratively with partners across AP HQ and Field, Data Sciences, other Investigation teams across Target
  • Change management skills to set a clear vision, gain buy in, and implement new practices
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
