A premier company in the Brainerd Lakes Area is seeking an Assember.  The successful candidate will work to ensure consistent quality and productivity in manufacturing assembled parts in a safe manner.  Personnel will work cooperatively with Supervision as well as CNC, Production and Quality personnel.

Primary Function: Assembly personnel will work to ensure consistent quality and productivity in manufacturing assembled parts in a safe manner.  Personnel will work cooperatively with Supervision as well as CNC, Production and Quality personnel.   
Essential Duties: 1. Understand and apply proper assembly techniques in the production of quality parts in a repeated and safe manner.
 2.  Maintain process control throughout a production run to ensure consistent quality.  The use of measuring instruments such as vernier calipers and micrometers may be necessary as well as visual observations of part abnormalities. 3.  Understand and apply proper handling of parts such that the part surface finish and critical dimensions are preserved throughout the assembly process.
4.  Read, understand and follow Work Instructions, Traveler cover sheets (work orders), Bill of Materials and other documents that may be included in the work orders.
5.  Understand and follow procedures for counting of completed and reject parts. Accurately and timely complete legible job time sheets used by management to, among other things, track profitability on work orders and review job costing.  6.  As expected, assembly personnel will assist colleagues with loading and unloading material and parts to minimize the risk of injury.  Perform other production operations and duties as they are assigned.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 1. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as an effective member of a team. 2. Knowledge of and ability to perform basic mathematical functions. 3. Demonstrated proficiency in effective verbal and written communication using the English language.                 4. Ability to make visual observations. 5. Ability to stand, walk, talk, see, hear, use hands and fingers, stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, sit and reach with hands and arms. 6. Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds regularly. 7. The ability to use basic hand tools such as open-end wrenches, power drills, sanders, etc.
Environment:  The manufacturing environment can include prolonged exposure to heat of over 100 degrees; particularly in the summer.  The job may also require standing for long periods of time with some bending and twisting.  In addition, odors from adhesives or from the heating of some plastic resins may be present in the manufacturing area from time to time.
