Job Function

The Channel Sales Operations Specialist is responsible for assisting management with Sales Operations, Project Management and Reporting related to the Sales Team. They will lead coordinated efforts among Sales, Marketing, Product, Business Planning, Supply Chain, Training and Finance to drive operational needs of the business while being focused on driving channel support, revenue and partnership management. 

The Channel Sales Operations Manager will work closely with direct leadership, various cross-functional teams, key internal stakeholders and external partners to develop, implement and manage channel operational strategies/processes which assist in driving sales programs/promotions while ensuring seamless execution.

This position will also be responsible for aggregating sales reporting and providing sales finance/accounting support for the Sales Team.

Responsibilities:

• Sales Operations/Project Management:
o Identify, define, plan, communicate and implement operational sales processes/strategies within Sales Team channel with the ability to scale amongst the partners
o Develop operational strategies and demonstrate problem-solving abilities to address channel issues or concerns.
o Manage smaller partners/local agents - Define sales programs, operationalize needs and manage promotional marketing
o Assist with coordinating marketing efforts to drive targets including promotions, incentives and consumer engagement
o Partner with Marketing, Sales, Product Management and Training to ensure coordinated and integrated communication of program positioning and selling strategies are executed successfully within the channel
o Develop peer-to-peer relationships, and a regular cadence with the customers within the channel, to influence and drive the performance
o Work to uncover new opportunities, project manage initiatives and drive execution
o Analyze forecasts and results, project and track ROI and incremental return. Perform post-mortem analysis to uncover best practices and learnings.
o Prepare materials as needed for customer meetings in support of quarterly business reviews, new product launches, etc.
o Manage the aggregate sales reporting from various partners (weekly sales updates)
o Track and report channel and program results (scorecard maintenance and distribution)
o Track, Maintain and manage execution of program initiatives and agreement contracts
o Manage budget spend and operations for proper approvals and allocation
o Manage key vendor relationships
o Influence training (internal and external)

• Manage Local Partner Events (Local Agents)
o Secure/Submit budget (Quarterly)
o External/Internal coordination of events (cross functional teams, partner and vendor) 
§ Logistics Include:
• Securing SWAG/Giveaways/Raffle Prizes
• Planning/Confirming Field Sales Manager Support 
• Planning branded booth experience 
o Invoice reconciliation for event (Vendor/Partner)
o Assist with PowerPoint deck creation/consolidation

• Sales Finance:
o Support Sales team and sales finance on program end reconciliation.
§ Program approval path from entry to payout completion 
§ SD & MDF functions
§ Term Sheet management/creation
§ PO/EO/PP Creation
§ Quarterly Program True-Up/Down
§ Communication across the organization and with external partners

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• BA in Business Management, Marketing, Communications or related field highly preferred, advanced degree a plus. 
• At least 3-5+ years of experience in sales operations, sales management, account management, direct marketing strategies, or creative implementation processes
• Experience in developing successful operational activities that support strategic objectives
• Excellent project management skills, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and create alternate solutions. Highly organized.
• Ability to work collaboratively with all departments, cross-functional teams and management levels within the company
• Ability to recognize opportunities to simplify processes and create efficiencies
• Proven track record of delivering successful initiatives to drive mutually beneficial results.
• Effective budget management/maintenance
• Familiarity with distribution, supply chain management and retail sales environments
• Strong financial, accounting and modeling knowledge
• Previous SAP acumen/with previous experience
• MS Excel proficiency (pivot tables) and strong MS PowerPoint skills
• Strong business analysis and problem-solving skills
• Analytical, flexible and creative
• Detail-oriented and able to create alternate solutions to complex problems
