Be a part of a team as a Guest Data Platform Director of Product Management working to set direction for the enterprise to maximize strategic value of our guest data, while simultaneously upholding rigorous standards for data privacy and ensuring compliance with current and future data privacy laws.

As the Director Product Guest Activation develop deep guest insights and inferences that allow business teams to develop actionable guest engagement and personalization strategies. Your teams will be responsible for managing the guest activity data (e.g. sales, browse, and loyalty) and AI algorithms/models that fuel personalization and guest analytics. Your products will serve as the backbone to guest engagement capabilities across digital, loyalty, marketing, stores, and other areas of the business. Additionally, analytical data sets will ensure teams have access to guest data in an easy to use and consumable format in order to deliver intelligent reporting and guest analytics.

Product Teams at Target Corporation are accountable for the delivery of business outcomes enabled through technology and analytic products that are easy to use, easily maintained and highly reliable. Product teams have one shared backlog that is inclusive of all product, technology and design work.

As a Product Director, you will set the overall strategic vision for your product space and product team, are accountable for succeeding against identified business outcomes and metrics, will set and manage the product's budget and financials, set the short and long term product goals, and quarterly OKRs.

You will be accountable for building, coaching, and mentoring a strong team of product owners while also building a strong team culture of progress, transparency, and efficiency across Product team(s). You will be responsible to elevate your collective team's performance by providing insightful, motivating, and constructive feedback to all roles on the team while also working with senior leadership and peers across pyramids to negotiate and remove execution related barriers for your teams.

You will drive product discovery with key stakeholders to validate hypotheses and concepts with customers before committing engineering time, as you lead highly complex work across multiple pyramids, with interrelated specialties. You will leverage data and analytics to provide competitive analysis, drive decision making, assess the health and effectiveness of your products and related P&L impacts, and to deliver recommendations to key stakeholders.

It will be critical that you possess an understanding of retail, relevant technologies and design principles in order to drive innovative and scalable solutions across pyramids.

About you:
  • 4-year college degree (or equivalent experience)
  • 10+ years of retail experience or equivalent domain experience
  • Strategic mindset and bias for action with strong ability for strategic planning, defining OKRs, and driving business outcomes
  • Experience working in the product model with strong product thinking skills. Ability to facilitate communication between business and technology teams
  • Experience working in an agile environment (e.g. user stories, iterative development, etc)
  • Expert in guest data management, data privacy, data governance, and product management
  • Strong communication skills, both at a strategic leadership level and cross functionally
  • Ability to lead and influence a team while fostering relationships across multiple teams
