A company in Shakopee, MN is looking for an experienced Mechanical Assembler on 2nd shift! The pay range is between $15-$18 per hour, depending on experience. Under limited supervision, qualified candidates will assemble mechanical parts or units and position, align, and fasten units to assemblies, sub-assemblies, or frames, using hand tools and power tools. Qualified candidates will be mechanically inclined and have prior experience in medical assembly.

Shifts Available:
1st shift: 8:00am - 5:00pm. Monday through Friday
2nd shift: 2:30pm - 1:00am, Monday through Thursday

Job Duties

Assemble, fit and install prefabricated parts to form sub-assemblies and final assemblies

Operation of magnetizing machine and hoist machine

Positioning, aligning and adjusting of parts for proper fit and assembly

Connecting wires, cables etc. by crimping, soldering, brazing or and  other methods required for the assembly

Fastening parts together using bolting and riveting equipment or other fastening and joining techniques

Inspection and testing of assemblies, and other goods

Diagnose, disassemble and repair of defective or returned goods

Prioritize assembly orders according to material and demand

Locate and pull parts for the order

Follow safety rules and keep work area in a clean and orderly condition

Other job duties as assigned

Requirements

Ability to read blueprints

Ability to use hand and power tools

Good reading and communication abilities

Familiarity with the metric units of measure

Ability to work in a fast paced environment

Good hand eye coordination

Ability to meet the physical demands such as lifting up to 100lbs (team lift)

Ability to work in a repetitive environment

Ability to meet client requirements
