Ballard Spahr LLP is seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant to work Monday through Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on the Attorney Support Team. This position can be located in the Philadelphia or Minneapolis office. The team supports lawyers in Ballard Spahr’s offices across the country.
The ideal candidate is enterprising, eager, energetic, efficient, and accountable. The selected individual must be able to effectively communicate and exercise good judgment in a professional environment. This person must manage multiple priorities and should have an affinity for working in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be able to provide personalized and committed support to lawyers in a team environment.
The position requires proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, such as Word, Excel and Outlook. Advanced-to-expert skills in Word, with an ability to format legal documents using styles and templates, create tables of contents, and run blacklines is essential. Expertise in Excel and PowerPoint is a plus. Experience with a document management system is useful.
Prior experience in transactional and/or litigation support is required. College degree preferred.
