Position Description

This position is responsible to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. Assist in defining the project's objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.

• Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.

• Communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders.

• Communicate with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.

• Identify and resolve potential issues or conflicts and communicate to project team.

• Manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.

• Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.

• Track and monitor project milestones and deliverables to ensure timelines are met.

• Develop and deliver status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas.

• Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle.

• Conduct project postmortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.

• Estimate resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.

• Negotiate with leader for the acquisition of required personnel from within the company.

• Determine and assess need for additional staff and/or consultants and make the appropriate recruitments if necessary, during project cycle.

• Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.

• Other projects and duties as assigned.


Bachelor's degree; demonstrated experience may be considered in lieu of degree or equivalent experience.

Required Experience

Five years of Technical Project Lead experience. Knowledge of software development methodology (Agile, Waterfall).

Preferred Experience

Experience in health care or managed care. Experience with Project Lifecycles. Experience and with ITIL and ITSM. ITIL Certification. PMI Certification.
