As a Business Partner in AP Assets and Design you will use your talent and experience to demonstrate self-direction, detailed problem solving, independent judgement and decision making in order to drive results within Target's AP Assets and Design strategy and program. This role within the AP Assets & Design team means being a part of a team that manages how our Assets Protection security and surveillance systems operate. This includes day to day operations, initial set-up and maintenance to our camera system, physical security elements and systems, building design, merchandise protection and all other physical assets in our stores. Here you will apply a wide range of skills including program/process/project management, communication and presentation, organization and collaboration over a wide span of the business.

As Business Partner - AP Assets and Design, you will:
  • Work independently and across business units to provide insight, validate requests and measure program performance.
  • Monitor and analyze data, reports and dashboards to understand the root cause and troubleshoot issues.
  • Work with raw data and share insights from what the data tells you with the AP team.
  • Move data from its raw form into informative graphics and charts that will inform business decisions.
  • Partner across teams to build field facing tools that use data to inform good decision making.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to explore new ideas and solutions based on data and trends.
  • Stay connected to the external landscape and identify trends in the industry that impact our AP and Target initiatives.

About you:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years of experience in relevant business support or store support role
  • Exposure and extensive hands on experience with large data sets
  • Experience using web based catalogs or eProcurement software
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience influencing key business partners
  • Experience operating in an ambiguous and rapidly changing work environment
  • Ability to work independently in situations with tight deadlines
  • Ability to challenge upward and challenge the status quo, to resolve problems that are without clear precedent, and to influence and negotiate effectively
  • Experience building and maintaining cross-functional working relationships
  • Desired MBA and previous stores experience
