Job Details

Job Responsibilities

•       Responsible for payroll funding calculation, notification and payroll posting

•       Reconcile payroll after closing and post into SAP

•       Record payroll journal entries into SAP

•       Research and answer general ledger questions from finance team

•       Maintain necessary procedures and internal controls related to payroll accounting

•       Provides input into the implementation, processing and/or modification of information and documentation to assist with the completeness, accuracy, and compliance with policies, procedures, and applicable state/federal regulations

•       Assist in documentation of detailed plans to address complex compliance issues by identifying goals, objectives and risks to achieving compliance objectives

•       Coordinate with business areas to implement corrective action plans when needed and monitor and create reports on mitigation activities

•       Research compliance control issues to resolve complex problems and make recommendations to business leaders

•       Assist in creating process flows, written reports, and documentation to promote best practices or in response to new business initiatives

•       Assist in performing compliance reviews and evaluations on an on-going basis

•       Recommends inputs to the Human Resources Information System, ensuring accuracy of information; recommending corrections and adjustments as necessary

•       Update content for new and on-going training

•       Setup new payroll codes and translations (UltiPro & HQ)

•       Maintain payroll earning and deduction code translation in UltiPro

•       Create reports using Business Intelligence tool in UltiPro

•       Audit and verify employee data in Workday, UltiPro and Fidelity

•       Responsible for additional activities related to compliance audits

•       Perform special projects

•       Participates in the review of HR operating procedures, policies, and systems, including automated systems and process improvements

 Requirements

•       BA/BS in Accounting, Finance or related field

•       3+ years of experience in similar position with experience and working knowledge of multi-jurisdiction payroll activities

•       Knowledge of HR related state and federal laws

•       Familiar with a variety of auditing concepts, practices, and procedures

•       Ability to work under pressure; meet critical deadlines; perform as a self-starter; and perform with a high level of accuracy

•       Problem solver who enjoys discovering methods to help customers, team members, and the organization

•       Ability to analyze HR data, systems, programs, policies and procedures for accuracy and completeness

•       Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials and to develop procedure documentation

•       Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing client and organization needs

•       Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to clients, vendors and other employees of the organization

•       Ability to read, analyze and interpret procedure manuals, general business periodicals, professional journals, and government regulations

•       Ability to convert data and findings into applied, specific information and suggestions that add value

•       Highly skilled using Microsoft Excel

•       High level of attention to detail and accuracy

•       Experience using SAP, Workday, UltiPro and PowerPoint

•       Ability to maintain confidentiality

•       Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to consistently work under pressure

•       Ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines
