JOB POSITION: Senior Engineer

LOCATION: 7000 Target Parkway North, Brooklyn Park, MN 55445

DUTIES: Lead the design, lifecycle management, and total cost of ownership of software development; understand business requirements to prepare system design documents; analyze existing mainframe applications in IBM z/OS platform and understand the functionality; develop Java/J2EE applications for enterprise business solutions; develop infrastructure code for application deployment and maintenance automation in production and non-production environments; understand best practices per industry need and meet compliance status for the enterprise applications; evaluate new technologies and participate in decision-making; lead and conduct code review, design review, testing, and debugging activities at the application level; provide technical oversight and coach others to resolve complex and severe technical issues; lead disaster recovery activities and contribute to disaster recovery planning. REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a closely related field and at least five (5) years of post-baccalaureate, progressive experience in software development (any title) using DB2, Oracle, RESTful APIs, Spring Boot, Apache Camel, Apache Kafka, Apache Tomcat, Chef, Jenkins, JDBC, SQL, COBOL, and Java/J2EE.
