This specific role is for an Owned Brand Senior Buyer within the Dairy business of the Food & Beverage business. In this role, you will lead and develop owned brand programs and product solutions that support the financial objectives for the business. Specific areas you will lead include:

Cross Functional Team (CFT) Leadership
Leads a large cross-functional team (CFT) toward building product strategies that drive guest loyalty by delivering consistently safe, high quality products that support each brand's positioning. Raises CFT awareness to overall business objectives and aligns priorities with category goals. Establishes key project deliverables, leads CFT strategy discussions, and facilitates brainstorming around product strategy. Drives relationship and communication between CFT and merchants to ensure alignment of priorities.

Product and Package Design & Development
Identifies guest-focused product solutions that achieve financial goals and overall brand objectives. Major tasks include market and competitive analysis, creation of product development roadmaps, packaging strategy and ongoing management of the Owned Brand portfolio. Partners with internal Product Development and Marketing to create desired product and packaging.

Data Analysis & Insights
Utilizes both internal and external reporting sources to gain deep understanding of industry and Target performance. Analyzes quantitative and qualitative business results and trends to create product solution strategies to meet financial objectives. Uses analysis to serve as a consultant to the category merchandising team on the Owned Brand strategy.

Category Merchandising Team Partnership
Partners closely with the category merchandising team to gain alignment of the owned brand strategy and tactics. Ensures owned brand strategies align with the total category strategy. Collaborates with category merchandising team to ensure proper support of the owned brand business (merchandising, pricing, promotion, distribution, etc.).

About you:
  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of Merchandising, Brand Management, or Product Development experience
  • Strong strategic and analytical skills to grow a business
  • Strong collaboration skills to partner with cross-functional team
  • Flexible, resilient and comfortable working in "grey areas" that are constantly changing
  • Strong passion for trend and product.
