A role in Property Management means the opportunity to maximize the performance and longevity of Target's assets while delivering value, reliability and brand integrity. Leverage and stretch your skills, whether your focus is electrical and plumbing, fire and security, smart buildings, HVAC and refrigeration, waste management and recycling, donations programs, or energy utility expense management. As a Lead Specialist Building Ops you will be responsible for the operations and maintenance of Target headquarters properties including HVAC, lighting control, life safety, electrical, and plumbing systems, etc. This includes completion of work requests as required including solving hot/cold issues, and other miscellaneous repairs and preventative maintenance tasks in the buildings. Also, monitoring and operation of the building management system for optimum efficiencies, climate control/ comfort, equipment operation, and making adjustments as required.

Additional responsibilities include utilizing a robust work order system for all work performed, conducting and documenting fire system testing, generator testing, UPS system monitoring, as well as performing other tasks, repairs, and special projects as required.

Must be available to provide on-call services for emergency repairs after normal business hours, including holidays and weekends.

About You:

Minimum Requirements:
  • High school graduate
  • Trade school graduate or equivalent education
  • Minimum of five years' experience in the building maintenance or equivalent field with a broad base of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and building systems knowledge.
  • Special Low Pressure boiler's license
  • Skilled in the operation of hand and power tools
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to work at heights of up to 25'
  • Good PC skills especially associated with building management systems, life safety systems, and work order/ preventative maintenance system applications
  • Good communication skills, both written and oral
  • Strong organizational skills/ self-starter
  • High degree of diplomacy
  • Must be able to establish and maintain professional working relationships with all levels within the company
  • Demonstrate leadership qualities

  • Higher level Boiler's License
