Systems Analyst

This position works as a member of a project team to gather business requirements and create functional specifications needed to meet or exceed customer expectations. Systems Analysts work primarily on more complex business processes or projects.  Important skills include business process re-engineering, requirements gathering, and the ability to actively participate in architecture and design sessions including product owners and development staff.  This position will research problems, understand and follow DRC standards and best practices, support and interact with development team to meet project requirements. Other duties include writing technical specifications while acting as liaison between business users and development.  

• 2+ years experience as a Systems Analyst, Software Developer, or related technical role.
• Ability to understand the front and back end functionality of complex business applications and document changes to those systems to meet new or expanded needs.
• Experience or training in analyzing data and database systems.
• Ability to analyze system problems, propose technical solutions, and provide recommendations utilizing use cases, and work flow diagrams.
• Experience or training in the use of a wide range of requirements gathering tools/techniques in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Ability to act as liaison between technology groups and end users to ensure requirements are met and deliverables meet or exceed expectations.
• Ability to effectively make written and oral presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 4-year/Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science or related field OR equivalent experience plus higher education
