Nursing Faculty Positions

We are currently searching for candidates to teach in the traditional undergraduate and graduate nursing programs.
Assistant/Associate Professor Nursing – Graduate Nursing (Half-Time)
May be located on our Duluth or St. Cloud Campus
This is an 11-month position at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor, depending on qualifications. The Doctor of Nursing Practice is offered as a post-master’s option for current advanced practice nurses, and a BS to DNP option for baccalaureate-prepared registered nurses
The Assistant/Associate Professor of Nursing will teach, mentor, and provide program and project advisement to DNP students; work collaboratively with nursing colleagues and colleagues from other disciplines; maintain active involvement in state and national professional organizations; collaborate with Graduate Nursing faculty to participate in fostering a culture of inclusion in support of College diversity; and perform scholarly activity including teaching, revision and development of courses as well as service including duties on College committees.
A doctoral degree in Nursing; certification as a nurse practitioner in family care, psych/mental health care OR adult-gerontology care; eligibility for RN and APRN licensure in Wisconsin and Minnesota; and demonstrated cross-cultural communication skills, multicultural competency and experience interacting effectively with diverse students, faculty and staff are required. Preferred qualifications include nurse practitioner experience in family care, psych/mental health care OR adult-gerontology care.
Nursing Faculty, Traditional Undergraduate Nursing
This is a 9-month (with option for additional employment), tenure-track negotiable faculty position in the undergraduate nursing program preparing students for entry level generalist practice. This position will teach; perform scholarship, and college and community service. Teaching responsibilities include classroom; lab; and simulation, acute care and community health care settings. Candidates will collaborate with Nursing faculty to participate in fostering a culture of inclusion in support of College diversity. The position begins spring 2020.
The position requires a Master’s Degree in nursing or a graduate degree in nursing in progress; an RN license in Minnesota (or ability to obtain such licensure); and professional nursing experience. The Nursing Faculty will possess demonstrated cross-cultural communication skills and multicultural competency and demonstrated experience interacting effectively with diverse populations.
